I'm new to the web and this site so bear with me , I have just closed on a old ,overgrown 24 acre farm . after looking at all " colors" i had decided a jd 4300 would be fine for future taskof revamp and maintaining this farm ( for horses) Then I started reading more about the problems JD apears to be haveing with this unit and looking at what all I wanted to do and came to the conclusion that bigger is better so heres my ??? I can get a 4600 4wd w/ag tires 12/12 power reverser trans fold over roll bar and 4-hole valve for$ 17.500.00 seems like a good price but does this larger tractor scuff the ground like the smaller (4200-4400) version? I plan a total replanting of approx 18 acres into horse frindly grasses and dont want to replow every time I cut it in the future. I can get a 5210 for 14500.00 but dont think i want this large a frame tractor but would it be better suitied for general farm work (no haying) ?also i would like to here from any 4600 owners about the likes and dislikes of this tractor. thanks in advance jerry
